Insight Global Network Specialist (Wi-Fi) in Calgary, Alberta
Job Description
Insight Global is currently seeking a Network Specialist to join one of Canadas largest oil and gas companies for an 11 month contract. A successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and resolving service requests and high-priority incidents (up to Tier 2) using ServiceNow. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and troubleshooting routers and switches, focusing on operational tasks, and implementing new firewalls as part of large-scale projects. You will maintain and configure Wi-Fi infrastructure through Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs) and DNA Center (DNA-C), manage routers and switches (Cisco/Juniper), load balancers (F5), and various management platforms (Cisco ISE/Prime/DNAC, F5 Big-IQ). Additionally, you will handle network documentation and security appliances (Palo Alto, Cisco FMC/FTD, SonicWall). You will also ensure that critical network infrastructure meets disaster recovery requirements and industry security standards. The successful candidate is expected to be on sit 5 days per week in Calgary, AB.

Skills and Requirements
8+ years of experience in network industry, specifically in IT software
5+ years of experience with Wi-Fi management on Cisco platforms, including advanced authentication methods on Cisco ISE.
8+ years of experience with maintenance and configurations in Wi-Fi infrastructure through WLCs and DNA-C, routers and switches (Cisco/Juniper), load balancers (F5), management platforms (Cisco ISE/Prime/DNAC, F5 Big-IQ) and network documentation, or security appliances (Palo Alto, Cisco FMC/FTD, Sonic Wall
Extensive hands-on experience with troubleshooting and service recovery of escalated network and customer issues
Post-secondary education in Networking technologies, Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent experience and certifications) Cisco AND Juniper experience null
