Canadian Tire Email Marketing Specialist in Calgary, Alberta

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Email Marketing Advisor will work cross functionally with the strategy, promotion, marketing, and ecommerce teams to build and execute email marketing campaigns that support business objectives. You will be responsible for the end-to-end planning of the email program, executing strategic initiatives, integrating with internal groups, and reporting on campaign results.

  • Manage email campaigns, including the template layout, calls-to-action, and content

  • Work to minimize unsubscribes while increasing the productivity of email sends

  • End-to-end campaign planning inclusive of strategic marketing and promotional initiatives in email

  • Develop strategies to improve email engagement rates through automation, segmentation, personalization, and content

  • Maintain daily contact with internal stakeholders for weekly campaigns

  • Analysis and reporting on campaign results, and recommendations for future improvements

  • Proactively report on email marketing trends to provide innovative email channel recommendations

What you bring

  • Post-secondary education or related experience in Marketing, Business or Finance

  • 1-3 years’ experience working with email marketing campaigns

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects and priorities

  • Retail experience is an asset

  • Salesforce experience is an asset

  • Proficiency using Google Analytics 4

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office a must

  • A great attention to detail and accuracy

  • Agency background or in-house experience in digital marketing or eCommerce environment is an asset

  • Creativity and a courageous mindset, with the ability to manage in an environment of change and ambiguity to help us take bold, strategic moves in this rapidly evolving retail environment

  • Action oriented and comfortable taking calculated risks to better serve our customers and business

  • Outcome focused, critical thinkers with the ability to analyze and visualize, to ensure continuous improvement across our entire business

  • Collaborative team players with influencing skills, who build relationships easily across various stakeholder groups to move initiatives forward
