What’s a typical day as a Business Office Advisor? You’ll be:

• Providing operational oversight of the expense budget lifecycle, including monthly reconciliation of actuals vs budget, workflow approvals for spend requests, and forecasting the impact of new spend/projects on future year expense budgets.

• Assisting in the oversight of the annual expense budget to ensure spend is within budget.

• Driving the monthly/annual/multi-year Corporate Planning budgeting/forecasting process for the organization.

• Validating and investigating unplanned spend requests against budget.s.

• Liaising with Corporate Accounting for monthly pre-pay, journal, and accruals submissions.

• Liaising with Accounting Research to determine appropriate financial treatment for projects and initiatives.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Are willing to work in the office in downtown Calgary.

• Are legally entitled to work in Canada.

• Have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a budgetary/accounting role working with an ERP Financial System.

• Have a minimum of 3+ years of working knowledge/relevant experience within an IT department.

• Have intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

• Have outstanding attention to detail with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Can adapt to conflicting demands and constantly evolving priorities.

• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.

• Can handle sensitive and confidential information.
