What You’ll Be Doing
As a Associate Branch Manager you’ll play a key role in leading and motivating a branch team and driving business initiatives such as development of branch staff, talent management, recruiting, compliance, risk management, and succession planning. You’ll develop a client-centric management culture with a strong focus on creating value for clients through emphasis on advisory, sales, risk management and performance coaching. You will build a culture of excellence by strong sales leadership and collaboration with the Branch Manager to coach and support staff.

How You’ll Succeed
People Leadership – Develop strong employee relationships with staff by treating employees fairly and consistently maintain excellent communication. Educate and coach Investment Advisors on compliance and audit related requirements, in addition to providing training on updates to regulatory or business requirements. Provide feedback and recommendations to the Branch Manager on development opportunities.
Client Experience - Lead by example and show your team how to deepen client relationships, and meet client financial needs while providing a high standard of service. Go above and beyond to champion CIBC within the community to develop new and existing client relationships. Encourage employees to quickly resolve client complaints, and to escalate when necessary.
Results Driven Leadership – Provide account supervision by reviewing the daily commission run, completing monthly reviews of statement Pro Accounts, and hold regular sales support meetings. Monitor the business performance and put action plans into place to close any gaps. Work collaboratively with all partners to maximize market opportunities, and increase overall performance. Manage and minimize risk to safeguard our bank, clients and shareholders.
Who You Are
You’re a certified professional. Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH). Advanced financial planning courses such Wealth Management Essentials (WME) and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Investment Manager (CIM) are an asset.
