AltaGas - Co-op – Technical Operations, Maintenance & Reliability Engineering

Term: May 2025 – May 2026 or September 2026; 12 – 16 months

You’ll work on significant projects and collaborate with top industry professionals supporting our growing energy business.

How You’ll Spend Your Days

• Implementing preventive maintenance (PM) strategies to reduce downtime and extend equipment life while optimizing PM schedules to enhance maintenance efficiency

• Gathering and analyzing equipment data to support decision-making and enhance system reliability

• Assisting Reliability Engineers in developing accurate equipment BOMs and managing inventory by ensuring necessary parts and materials are accounted for

• Supporting major projects by gathering equipment data, setting details in Maximo, and processing vendor load files for spares and maintenance tasks

• Identifying and prioritizing failure modes through FRACAS trends to drive corrective actions and support Criticality Assessments and PM Reviews

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Energetic and ready to tackle new projects and ideas

• You have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical abilities, a solid work ethic, and excellent communication & interpersonal skills

• You're eager to learn about the energy industry and gain hands-on, real-world experience

The Program
