Kelly Science & Clinical has a new, direct hire opportunity for a Quality Manager in Cairo, OH! Relocation assistance available for qualified individuals

A Direct Hire Opportunity

Shift: M-F 8am-5pm

Salary: $135k-$145k DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for a team of laboratory professionals across multiple UPA plants.

  • Optimize all laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to internal and external quality while meeting customer expectations.

  • Manage laboratory budgets, including equipment, supplies, and maintenance.

  • Oversee laboratory equipment and instrumentation, establishing and maintaining contracts with vendors and service providers. Actively evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance analytical capabilities.

  • Lead and support quality initiatives across the organization, participating in internal and customer audits and providing laboratory data for quality control (SPC/SQC) and non-conformance investigations.

  • Effectively interact with plant personnel and cross-functional teams to interpret data, drive continuous improvement, and ensure consistency across laboratory operations.

  • Utilize and apply basic data-analysis tools such as SPC and Pareto Charts in review of laboratory data to drive process and/or continual improvement activities with laboratory personnel. Work with lab technicians in review quality of lab data input and accuracy.

  • Lead change management initiatives related to laboratory practices and quality systems, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

  • Support Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) events and related actions as well as other continual improvement projects (e.g. Roadmaps, Green Belt Projects, and Mapping)· Other duties assigned by Ultra-Pure Quality Manager

  • Provide clear and concise communication, both verbal and written, to internal and external stakeholders regarding laboratory operations and analytical results.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality systems management.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing a laboratory environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of ICP-MS, cleanroom operations, and wet chemistry lab procedures.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Experience in project management and change management.

  • Ability to train, motivate, and coach a team of laboratory professionals.

  • Proficiency in statistical software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Willingness to travel for training and project support (5-10%).
