UL, LLC Senior Learning & Development Specialist in Cabiate, Italy

This person will be supporting the learning needs of all the businesses and functions in the sub-region Europe South. They will also be expected to work across the EMEA region for some regional or global learning and development projects.

The person collaborates with internal customers to gain knowledge of learning needs and facilitates specific learning and development programs. And the person will be a member of the global Talent & ULU team.

This position is open for locations near the UL offices Cabiate and Carugate in Italy.

Our delivery is 90% virtual and 10% face-to-face with a mix of live VILC, ILC, platform-based learning and the development of stand-alone resources such as e-learning, podcasts, and video casts.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring delivery of learning in this region is highly impactful and cost effective, and for the targeted development of future resources.

The appointed person will be expected to liaise with leaders in the Europe South sub-region, including functional leaders.

Further responsibilities will be leading TULU projects on a sub-regional level and collaborate in regional and global TULU projects.

We are a global team, and the appointee will be expected to work in a culturally sensitive way, driving high collaboration and support other regions in their delivery outside of European time zones.

  • Formulates learning and development plans based on business and organizational needs.

  • Understands features and designs of complex learning and development programs and effectively deploy to achieve desired business outcomes.

  • Develop innovative training programs that supports the business. Bring in new thinking in innovative learning and course development.

  • Maintain learning processes.

  • Demonstrate accountability to align and execute strategic priorities in a timely manner, collaborative, and effective way.

  • Share best practices with other team members.

  • Provide advice and apply diverse approach to help participants learn effectively.

  • Analyze post training reports and develop actions based on the analysis. Provide the Learning Management System (LMS) team with constructive suggestions to ensure the effectiveness of the LMS.

  • Collect, extract, analyze data and demonstrate confidence in presenting data.

  • Demonstrate project management and data driven skills.

  • Be part of global and regional project teams.

  • Lead regional project and/or local learning and development projects. Communicate timely to project stakeholders to ensure efficient approaches. Engage and influence team members to keep up momentum of the project.

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in learning and development to ensure programs are current and effective.

  • Provides other duties as directed

  • Minimum of Bachelor or equivalent.

  • Professionally qualified with min. 5 years professional level experience.

  • Detailed knowledge of training and learning practices.

  • Strong ability to assess organizational needs.

  • Excellent general facilitation skills and strong virtual delivery capabilities.

  • Experience of learning resource management.

  • Demonstrated ability to administer programs and manage medium sized projects.

  • Project management skills

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and skills to enhance work quality

  • Strong influencer able to shape project outcomes.

  • Understanding and confident use of digital learning technologies.

  • Have knowledge of sales methodology.

  • Experience of internal marketing and promotion of learning events.

  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Italian (additional other European language like Spanish, French, Polish proficient level appreciated)

  • Experience in support and deliver Organizational Development interventions preferred.
