Spread Your Wings, LLC. RFP/Grant Writer in CA, United States
We are a mental health services provider that is seeking an experienced RFP (Request for Proposal) Writer to join our team on a contract-basis to help work on several current RFP's. Our team has been providing valuable services to the community for the past few years, and are looking to expand. With several opportunities for us to compete for existing RFP's, we are recruiting for an experienced RFP Writer to join our team.
If you are an experienced RFP Writer with familiarities of the mental health field, that would be a huge plus! In addition to the RFP Writing experience, we are looking for someone that works well within a team setting, while being able to complete duties autonomously in a timely manner. This may lead to opportunities to join the team on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on outcomes of the RFP's, for the right candidate.
Primary Responsibilities:
Review assigned RFP packets and thoroughly examine its details and components to share with other team members.
Evaluate value of RFP questions and lead discussion efforts to respond to RFP questions.
Work as the assigned Project Manager for each designated RFP and help keep to deadlines and agreements.
Coordinate meetings/discussions of contributing team members to ensure that RFP is responded to in a timely manner.
Work independently to review/edit/compose responses to RFP as assigned, and "improve" the quality of submitted written efforts of other team members.
General Expectations:
Must be available to respond to emails/phone calls during reasonable business hours (M-F, 8:30am-5:00pm) for any RFP-relevant discussions.
Must be able to commit to the duration of the RFP responding process, including up to rewarding/denial of submitted RFP, from the beginning of the assignment of the RFP.
Must be available to respond to urgent calls that may occasionally take place outside of typical business hours (evenings, weekends, etc.).
Other Relevant Information Regarding Position:
This is a hybrid position, so much of the work can be done remotely (via video conferencing), but may require in-person meetings on rare occasions (we are expecting 1-2 such occurrences during the entire period, if at all).
You will be expected to efficiently work autonomously, so while no tracking of specific hours will take place, our team will have reasonable expectations throughout the process to see what is produced at intervals.
While there may not be any required travel for this role, if any become required afterwards, we will cover all relevant travel costs associated with the assigned duties.
Please include a cover letter in your application, indicating your prior experience in writing RFP's and/or any other County/State proposals.
Compensation:
Will depend on experience and displayed knowledge of RFP Writing process.
This is a contract position (I-1099), so compensation will be split into two payments (Initial payment, and a second payment upon completion of project - amount will be negotiated).
Range of rate (average hourly rate - based on ESTIMATE ONLY): $28-33/hour.
