Job Description:
Position Summary
The Specialist, Corporate Giving & Hospitality is responsible for developing and nurturing our non-profit partnerships to drive community impact and storytelling that advances our corporate giving pillars of Hunger, Heroes and Hope. This role supports our non-profit partners, vendors, volunteers, and other third parties to ensure seamless execution of events and meetings, including Brat Fest, Helping Hands Day and more. The Corporate Giving & Hospitality Specialist plays a pivotal role in strengthening our philanthropic initiatives to deliver the ingredients for a better life to our communities, customers and Associates.
Key Responsibilities
Works with the Corporate Giving & Hospitality Leader on the day-to-day management of the SpartanNash Foundation and corporate giving programs and events, aligned to our giving pillars (Hungers, Heroes, Hope).
Partners with the Brat Fest Leader in managing Brat Fest events for Metcalfe’s Markets. This includes year-round planning in preparation of the event.
Ensure alignment and lead onboarding/offboarding for our non-profit partners, vendors, sponsors, and other third parties to ensure appropriate representation of SpartanNash.
Maintain mutually beneficial, transformational community partnerships that enable rich multi-media storytelling across our internal and external communications channels.
Oversee Brat Fest merchandising strategy as well as the SpartanNash Swag Store, including handling the financials, managing inventory, campaign launches, expanding merchandise and proposing new innovative ideas to enhance the customer experience.
Support the development and production of large-scale events as needed (i.e., companywide town halls, Helping Hands Day, holiday parties, award celebrations, the SpartanNash Summit and Circle of Excellence, Investor Day, SpartanNash Expo and more).
Deliver internal alignment and approvals that meet/exceed deadlines from leadership.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree (Required) in Communication, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or related field.
2+ years’ experience in corporate, employee, or marketing communications, charitable giving or events management.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a highly productive, time-sensitive environment with a multi-stakeholder approval process.
Skilled at developing creative partnerships and tactics to drive awareness and interest in giving and hospitality programs.
Self-directed with high attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Documents, and cloud-based project/task management programs such as Monday.com.
Ability to travel, including overnight, up to 35% of the year with a seasonal peak in May or depending on events that require support.
Ability to effectively use office automation/communication software and tools currently used in the office environment, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Office 365.
