NORTHWESTERN ENERGY GIS Analyst in BUTTE, Montana
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, GIS or closely related field; equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered
- Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures especially in regard to Security
- Practical working knowledge of ArcGIS software suite, Esri Field Maps, Survey123, Python, SQL tools and ACAD suite
- Proficient in maintaining spatial databases and database integrity in enterprise GIS applications, data hierarchy, data schema, linear asset management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in GIS analysis
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to multi-task with exceptional time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
- Basic knowledge of natural gas pipelines and pipeline systems
- Ability to pass a drug test and a background check
- At least three years of practical GIS Analyst experience and a Certified GIS Professional (GISP) is a plus
- Knowledge of gas design parameters and codes a plus
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Facilitate, manage and execute project activities for a variety of GIS and data migration projects
- Evaluate existing data and processes and develop action plans for migration to enterprise GIS
- Troubleshoot issues with both GIS software and user interfaces
- Work with engineering and other departments on required documentation for efficient data entry, annual reports, tax jurisdictions and risk analysis
- Prepare and perform product demonstrations
- Consult on new projects and implementations
- Provide support for both client GIS office staff and field technicians
- Input data into the GIS database structure
- Generate pipeline and facility locations in GIS database
- Create applications for field use that drive efficient processes and accurate data collection
- Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
- Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
Full-time position.
$54,000 - $121,800 annually, depending on experience.
