Summary About the Position: You will be responsible for providing the Park Manager and staff administrative and clerical support in the areas of budgeting, purchasing, property control, personnel actions, data processing, reporting, Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) and other project office operations. Responsibilities Provide assistance and guidance to others involved in time keeping activities. Review, interpret and apply administrative guidelines applicable to project operations. Maintain accounting data on all travel made by project personnel and provides reports as required. Ensure payroll documentation is compliant with regulations and local policy. Prepare responses to correspondence which are of administrative or financial interest. Coordinate training requirements throughout the year with the District Training Officer. Monitor and maintain ongoing overview of the office's financial situation and keeps the supervisor informed. Maintain purchase credit card, buy supplies and materials, and receive all purchases and monitors funding and invoices. Specialized Experience GS-05: One year of specialized experience which includes: performing procedural and administrative work in an office environment; preparing correspondence; maintaining files or records; making travel arrangements; maintaining inventory records; and timekeeping. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Experience as described above, but less than one year; and have some education above the high school level but less than required above. You must compute the percentage of the requirements, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes: performing procedural and administrative work in an office environment; make travel arrangements to include preparing orders and vouchers; coordinate training requirements; assist in preparation and analysis of operating budget; use an automated personnel database to initiate personnel actions; use a financial management system to complete duties as timekeeper and complete weekly labor reports.
