Job Summary: As the Director for Personal Support Services, you will participate as a member of the team - fostering an environment that supports individuals in pursuit of their hopes, dreams, and personal outcomes. This position will oversee the operations of multiple services and ensure quality services are delivered to the individuals we support. You will also be available to support and maintain a safe and secure environment, 24/7, 365. This position will perform all duties assigned to the Designated Coordinator per 245D requirements and will have responsibilities in service operations, personnel management, financial management, interface with Central Services to ensure organizational priorities are achieved, and other duties as assigned. Some examples of responsibilities include: Remain updated on relevant laws and regulations and requirements as well as ensure implementation. Meet with regulatory personnel and assist in responding to plans of correction. Ensure implementation of the Coordinated Service and Supports Plan and Addendum. Actively participate in leadership meetings. Coordinate admissions and discharges. Observe, listen, and respond to individuals we support and staff with dignity and respect. Facilitate community involvement. Follow organization and Line of Service (LOS) policy and procedures. Review/prepare all Coordinated Service and Support Plans and required data for the LOS. Serve as primary contact for all stakeholders. Interview, hire, supervise, and terminate employees. Mentor, coach, and develop staff - including onboarding. Conduct performance reviews. Ensure employees meet the required training hours and topics - including maintaining the integrity of the College of Direct Support training records. Accountable for accurate services reimbursement (service agreements, rate changes, Group Residential Housing (GRH), and spend downs) and work cooperatively with billing department. Oversee, maintain, and track accounts payable - monitoring for accuracy. Qualifications and Requirements: A bachelor's degree in a field related to Human Services, and a minimum of one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities and/or persons age 65 and older, OR An associate's degree in a field related to Human Services, and a minimum of two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities and/or persons age 65 and older, OR A diploma in a field related to Human Services from an accredited postsecondary institution, and a minimum of three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities and/or persons age 65 and older, OR A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to Human Services and disabilities and four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities and/or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in the above clauses. Two-three years of supervisory experience as well as team building and leadership. When managing an ICF/MR pr gram, a bachelor's degree (with QDDP designation) is required. Driver's license is required. CPR certificate (when required), First Aid and Medication Administration training is also required but can be obtained after hire. Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) clearance is required. Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record required.
