You independently operate and maintain at least one process or equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.
How you will contribute
You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. You will operate and maintain equipment to meet our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will execute all standard work processes using AM and PM (progressive maintenance standards). In this role, you will ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will take an active role in shutdown maintenance, root-cause analysis, stops reductions loss analysis and breakdown elimination.

More about this role
As the new Condensary Operator, based at our Cooee milk processing facility, you will be part of a team that produces milk for our customers, including the iconic Cadbury factory in Hobart. Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
With a commitment to safety first for self and others, ensure all occupational health and safety requirements are understood and met
Be a collaborative member of the small team, who work together constructively to achieve shared outcomes
Set up, operate, monitor and adjust changeover production equipment to ensure customer product requirements are delivered in full, on time and according to GMP standards
Ensure product safety, by understanding product quality standards and plant running conditions, identifying and communicating potential hazards
Maintain housekeeping to GMP standards in all work areas
Identify improvement opportunities, such as how to reduce sources of waste, make improvement suggestions and support implementation of improvement actions
Communicate with the team, including share shift handover information to the incoming team, supported by relevant documentation where appropriate
Ensure site security is maintained continuously as required.
Do you have what it takes?
The successful candidate will be a collaborative and self-motivated team member able to easily communicate and build rapport with others, including customers and suppliers. You will bring demonstrated experience of achieving in a dairy and/or food manufacturing environment, and working knowledge of personal and food hygiene. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Commitment to and ability to comply with all health and safety, and food safety policies, procedures, processes and guidelines
Ability to work effectively within a small team, as well as independently with broad direction
High attention to detail, including accurately working according to standard work processes and recording data
Proven experience of successfully working in a manufacturing/production position
Literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills
High Risk Fork Lift Licence
High Risk Boiler Operations Certificate
Year 12 or equivalent high school certificate (desirable)
Experience in a similar position and/or in lean manufacturing environment, desirable
Experience in a qualified and relevant trade may be a transferable skill set
Committed to individual development, growth and training, including technical courses or qualifications.
The Cooee site operates 7 days per week and the position is required to work day and afternoon shift rosters. The successful candidate must be available to work shifts as required and subject to change.
All candidates require Australian working rights.
