Supply Chain Coordinator (Temporary Full Time - 3 months, with potential to become permanent)
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for the physical and logistical flow of all incoming, in-process and out-going materials as well as the handling, storage, and preservation of those materials on site. This position will support those responsibilities by performing various functions as trained in Receiving, Pick/Packing, Shipping, Warehousing and/or Material Handling.
Work must be performed in compliance with internal and external quality/finance/safety policies, procedures, and guidance. All personnel are expected to communicate in a professional manner to all internal and external customers and suppliers. Assigned work is performed independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive both controlled and uncontrolled materials and products from suppliers.
Review and verify documents.
Transfer and store products and materials in appropriate locations as defined by procedure and 6S.
Ensure the safety, integrity, and traceability of materials.
Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
Transfer materials to the working locations, maintaining KANBAN levels to support manufacturing and related activities into our clean room environment.
Pick and pack products to meet customer orders.
Ship products & materials to customers and suppliers using courier services and/or freight forwarders.
Verify the condition and document the receipt of incoming materials.
Identify discrepancies and perform basic inventory reconciliation.
In support of the HAART transfer project, ship HAART components and raw materials to appropriate vendors.
Prepare all related paperwork, labeling, and packaging, ensuring overall safety and compliance with procedures and regulations.
Perform the necessary transactions in the business system. Use assigned hardware and software to generate any other documents as required.
Track and trace shipments, arrange clearance and deliveries.
Communicate with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure a smooth flow of materials.
With input from Purchasing and internal customers and support from Supply Chain management, calculate and update KANBAN and safety stock levels.
Assist co-workers with resolution of daily problems.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to clearly communicate and understand English in verbal and written form.
Capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Knowledge and experience with logistics, material handling and/or Quality Control.
Knowledge about work safety and safety regulations
Basic computer knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Knowledge of required functions in Business Systems (SAP, BPCS or other ERP systems).
Must understand basic math principles.
Ability to use basic office, shipping, and warehouse equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, some bending and twisting is required.
Understanding of basic LEAN and 6S principles.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems and improve efficiency and performance.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in logistics and/or material handling, or related experience.
High School Diploma.
Post-secondary education and/or related certification in Supply Chain is preferred.
