  • Work Schedule: M-F, 8AM-5PM

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Assists with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.

  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.

  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.

  • Assists to establish departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the company's strategic goals.

  • Understanding and supporting the workforce with company policies and procedures.

  • Assists with the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs.

  • Assists with the establishment of an in-house employee training system that addresses the company's training needs including training needs assessment, new employee orientation or onboarding, management development, production cross-training, the measurement of training impact, and training transfer.

  • Provides necessary education and materials to managers and employees including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and standardized reports.

  • Maintains employee training records.

  • Focal coaching and development for supervisor level and above.

  • Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws.

  • Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.

  • Participates in the conduct of investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.

  • Advises managers and supervisors about the steps in the progressive discipline system of the company. Counsels’ managers on employment issues.

  • Assists with the monitoring of the company wage and salary structure including bonuses and raises.

  • Provides competitive market research and prepares pay studies to help establish pay practices and pay bands that help to recruit and retain superior staff.

  • Provides payroll processing backup support. Partners with accounting and payroll to maintain the payroll database.

  • Participates in one salary survey per year.

  • Company-wide committee facilitation.

  • Company employee communication.

  • HRIS data entry for new hires/changes/terminations and reorgs.

  • Assist with document management and filing, both electronic and hardcopy.

  • Maintenance of personnel records and status changes.

  • Creating/maintaining all reports required for audit purposes.

  • Workforce planning.

  • Tracking of vacation, sick time, and holidays taken.

  • Manage/assist with employee requests.

  • Monitor and respond to shared inboxes.

  • Employee event planning, coordination, and execution as required.

  • Assisting with the preparation and distribution of bi-weekly payroll as required.

  • Assist in the termination process of employees as required.

  • Other duties as required.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Special Projects:

  • Assist with creation and execution of training and talent development.

  • Employee file conversion.

  • Vacation liability investigation.

  • Titling and salary review.

  • Others as required.

Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• A completed Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited university or college.

• CPHR is considered an asset.

• Proven academic and work achievement.

• Administration experience is preferred.

• 5+ years HR Generalist work experience.

• Business acumen.

• Excellent communication / interpersonal skills.

• Problem solver.

• Adaptable / Flexible.

• Self-motivating.

• A willingness and openness to taking on new challenges and tasks.
