What We’re Looking For
Our Claims Division is seeking a detail-oriented Claims Administrator to join the team. We are looking for an individual who is eager to jump start their Claims career with HUB International.
Our Burnaby location is our head office and is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants, and other amenities nearby.
Requirements
1-2 years of administrative experience
Level 1 General Insurance License or willingness to obtain within 6 months
Outstanding customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Intermediate to advanced MS Office knowledge, with focus on Excel and Word
Thrives in a fast paced, client-focused environment
Asset experience that will make you stand out:
Previous Insurance or Claims industry experience
Experience with EPIC system
A Day in the Life
Provide administrative support to claims examiners including file set up and payment processing (both internally and in cooperation with external partners)
Manage several claim bordereaux
Liaise with external stakeholders, including both Lloyds and domestic insurers, as part of bordereaux management
Liaise with internal stakeholders, including accounting department, to ensure claims payment accounts are reconciled monthly
Provide back up support for claims intake which may include monitoring claims inboxes, reporting new claims to carriers and recording information in EPIC as needed
Participate on claims team phone queue

The expected salary range for this position is $40,000 to $50,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
