Overview

The Manager of Forecast Model Development drives strategic operations planning, analytics and reporting for the stores organization. The role is vital to run the business through using advanced analytics methods for forecasting sales to inform store efficiencies (e.g., payroll allocation, store labor, scheduling, etc.). Additionally, the role will design predictive models to identify store outliers across key business metrics for gap-management. Scope also includes tracking missed sales and identifying solutions to minimize risks. The role requires excellence in modeling, forecasting, predictive analytics, and a strong business acumen to connect dots across a complex business. The role will deliver sales and OI expansion using these skills.
A Day in the Life:

• Create and implement advanced analytic methods for forecasting sales to inform store efficiencies (e.g., payroll allocation, store labor, scheduling, etc.).

• Design predictive models, regression analyses to identify opportunities and/or outliers for intervention on process execution.

• Manage large sales data sets through coding to then produce forecasts and models.

• Track missed sales and identify solutions to minimize risks.

• Leverage advanced analytics to model financial implications associated with potential actions taken by field leaders (e.g., payroll allocation, scheduling to help drive sales).

• Support planning, decision-making, and other run-the-business needs with strategic thinking and analytical insight.

• Work with and in stores to identify opportunities to drive efficiencies/performance.

You’ll Come With:

• A Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline required (Applied Analytics, Economics, Finance, etc.)

• S. or PhD in Applied Analytics strongly preferred.

• 2-3 years of experience post advanced degree or 5-8 years post undergrad.

• Strong experience with leveraging applied analytics, forecasting, and predictive analytics to drive business decisions

• Experience in coding, data science, investment banking, and similar contexts
