Aston Carter Production Planner Admin in Burlington, North Carolina

Job Description

Communicate between internal and external organizations to optimize MRO & production planning/control workflows. Setup, run, and confirm Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and issue schedules for all MRO & production planning activities. Define realistic company-level goals for minimum part inventory and manage applicable inventory reductions in line with the company financial objectives. Coordinate between purchasing, manufacturing, and MRO on parts status and build requirements. Ensure all material and labor assigned to orders is correct per MRO engine event. Work closely with the Joint Venture Accounting Department to reconcile purchase orders, part consumption reports, and invoices. Maintain planning-related IT system control including shop order & work order entry and release, routing maintenance, and maintenance of operation sequencing. Chair regular production and MRO planning meetings with purchasing, vendors, and joint venture partners, issuing appropriate meeting minutes and directives. Develop and present MRO shop visit demand and shop capacity ability to ensure safe customer aircraft engine operation. Monitor service bulletin (SB) and aviation directive (AD) impact and compliance to provide direction to the MRO shop as well as the Joint Venture.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Course study including Planning Theory and inventory management

  • 3-5 years experience in manufacturing or production management/planning

  • Maintenance and Repair shop experience considered an asset

  • ERP & Master Scheduling experience preferred

  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Project skills

  • Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to self-manage workload and efficiently manage multiple tasks

  • EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH A MANUFACTURING COMPANY IS REQUIRED!

Work Environment

Climate-controlled office environment. Possibility of up to 20% remote work. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, mandatory hearing protection, and safety shoes. Some travel may be required but limited to US domestic.
