Robert Half IP Attorney/Lawyer in Burlington, North Carolina

Description We are searching for an IP Attorney with medical device experience to join our team. This remote role is a short term contract employment opportunity and is vital to our healthcare corporation due to an increase in workload. You will be expected to juggle multiple tasks, make decisions amidst competing demands, and be proficient in medical devices, data science, and AI.

Responsibilities:

• Exhibit in-depth knowledge in the field of medical devices and medical device regulations.

• Utilize your in-house experience to work effectively within a healthcare corporation.

• Exercise excellent judgment, strong strategic, and analytical thinking in all responsibilities.

• Prioritize across multiple tasks and demands while maintaining organization.

• Show proficiency in engineering, strong creative abilities, and understanding of scientific principles.

• Understand basic business concepts, strategies, and risks.

• Apply your IP experience, including patent prosecution, freedom-to-operate, opinion preparation, licensing, and IP transactions.

• Leverage your litigation experience to the benefit of the company.

• Develop compelling presentations and engage senior leaders with confidence.

• Distill complex information into business language for better understanding across the team.

• Maintain a strong commitment to company values. Requirements • Demonstrated skills in Intellectual Property - Patent

• Proficiency in handling Medical Device-related cases

• Comprehensive understanding of Medical device regulations

• Proven experience as an Attorney/Lawyer in the relevant field

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

• High degree of professionalism and ethical standards

• Proficient in using legal research tools and software

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound judgments

• Knowledge of current legal trends and developments

• Strong presentation skills and ability to represent clients effectively

• Willingness to continue learning and improving legal skills.
