About the Team:

  • The Microbiology Laboratory identifies and provides treatment solutions to clients on a wide variety of bacterial and parasitic human pathogens. We are a diverse group of individuals working together to positively impact patient outcomes.

Internship Assignment Summary:

  • Prepare clinical specimens such as urine, stool, and swab collections for testing and analysis; other tasks as needed

  • Help prepare validation plans for new instrumentation

  • Assist with data collection and documentation for in-house validations

  • Engage in professional development workshops to enhance your business acumen and professional presence

Education/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Comfortability with handling biological specimens

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Medical Laboratory Science (Preferred)

  • Has experience delivering multiple projects in an academic or professional setting

  • Computer knowledge and data entry skills; experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred

  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and internal/external colleagues

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast paced, high-volume environment and while prioritizing and manage multiple tasks

  • Able to work independently under general supervision

  • Expressed desire and interest to work in a laboratory as a technologist after completing an undergraduate degree

About the Position:

  • Scheduled Days: Tuesday – Saturday

  • Scheduled Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm

  • The Toxicology Intern Lab Assistant works in a fast paced, production type environment. This employee will be responsible for performing various non-technical tasks within the different departments/areas of the Toxicology laboratory.

Pay Range: $17.00-$20.00/hr

Benefits: All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
