This individual is responsible for performing manufacturing in-house welding work for cutting edge high-field superconducting magnets. REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS: Monitor robot operation. Prepare robot for next production lot by setting jig and setting robot program. Properly start up and shut down robot. Performs weld consumable change encompassing weld tip, nozzle gas, diffuser and wire. Monitors the robotics wire feeder and correct settings including drive rollers. Troubleshoots the wire feed system including liners, feeder, tips, and torch. Follow safety guidelines set forth by the company Follow all company policies in accordance with the employee handbook Learn building materials and all jargon to ensure future growth and knowledge Guarantee that all job tracking procedures are followed A minimum years? experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Must have experience with 6- axis robots at a minimum. Be able to adjust programs for quality issues or machine issues. A solid understanding of production and organizational methods Fine-tuned communication skills Ability to remember processes and materials used in the building process High School Diploma or GED desired Understanding Yaskawa robot controls, and be able to make program edits, programming is a plus. Be able to read welding drawings, robotic welding toll drawings, and blueprints
