Summary:

As the Wearables Core OS Team, we are focused on connecting our world together through Augmented Reality devices. In this role, you will partner closely with Silicon, Electrical teams to architect, design, and deliver the foundational SW and HW for our next products and platforms. This team is responsible for bringing up the core system devices and OS and Firmware features for the AR wearable devices.

Required Skills:

Wearables Core OS - Systems Software Manager Responsibilities:

1. Build and lead teams to deliver Systems Software (AOSP, Firmware) for AR products

2. Integrate, customize, optimize BSP and Firmware across Reality Labs technology verticals

3. Collaborate across electrical, silicon, software, user experience, and firmware teams to define and build software components

4. Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members and project peers

5. Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams

6. Build development processes that allow for rapid development and experimentation while maintaining a high quality product.

7. Understand and drive implementation of quality software development practices across teams and projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

8. BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field Technical leadership experience in C/C++ development targeting ARM processors and SoCs

9. 5+ years managing the technical development of firmware/software and 5+ years of experience on firmware development

10. Prior work experience leading a product through the complete Firmware/Software life cycle, consisting of architecture, development, test, productization, bug fixes and deployment

11. Experience shipping embedded firmware in a consumer product

12. Experience with processes enabling delivery of quality products to end customers

13. Experience building large organizations and managing through leaders

14. Experience with BSP development on Linux or Android

15. Specialized experience in two or more of the following areas: BSP/Board Support Package, Kernel, Bootloader, Power Management, Linux/Android bringup

16. Hands-on coding experience with peripherals such as USB, SPI, MIPI CSI/DSI, I2C, UART, GPIO etc.

17. Experience shipping embedded firmware in a consumer product (RTOS)

Public Compensation:

$213,000/year to $293,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
