Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Staff - Public to join our team in Burlingame, California. As part of our team, you will be involved in preparing and filing tax returns, researching tax issues, and developing relationships with clients. You will also be responsible for managing communications both internally and externally to ensure the smooth progress of engagements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare federal and state corporate, individual, fiduciary, and partnership tax returns

• Collect all necessary data to comply with filing requirements and identify any missing items

• Initiate and respond to communications with tax authorities in tax controversy matters

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and client personnel responsible for tax issues

• Prepare accurate quarterly and annual estimated tax liability calculations

• Conduct research on tax issues and interpret tax codes

• Manage communications both internally and externally to ensure the smooth progress of engagements

• Foster teamwork to enhance the client service experience

• Utilize tax software such as Lacerte and Prosystems for tax compliance and planning

• Perform various accounting functions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Familiarity with partnership returns and partnership tax

• Ability to work with Lacerte Tax Software

• Knowledge of CCH Prosystem and CCH ProSystem fx - Tax Compliance

• Experience with CCH ProSystem fx - Tax Planning

• Background in partnership tax returns
