Job Description:

A company in Burbank is looking for a Staff Accountant. In this role, you will provide invaluable support to our financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, highly organized, and possesses a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements and regulatory reporting documents.

  • Manage journal entry postings and create invoices.

  • Analyze transactions and prepare reports.

  • Work alongside the accounting team to perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.

  • Consolidate and analyze financial statements and results.

  • Prepare budgeting reports and assist with budget control.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns.

  • Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree.

  • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role in financial department.

  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.

  • Awareness of business trends.

  • Experience with accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • An ability to prioritize tasks.
