Senior Operations LLC Heat Treat Operator in Burbank, California
Summary
:
Requires surface treatment of a variety of metal parts including processes such as cleaning of metal parts prior to loading into furnace. Must be capable of operation of air and vacuum furnaces and ovens to temper various metals
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:
Knowledge, understanding and ability to properly load the various ovens and furnaces.
Knowledge of proper use of charts associated with the various ovens and furnaces.
Ability to read and understand work order instructions, procedures and specifications associated with heat-treating.
Load and check racks for proper spacing in tanks and operates hoist or immerses parts by hand, when required.
Clean and check for part surface cleanliness and proper surface of a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metal parts.
Maintain furnace interior cleanliness.
Ensure furnaces are within calibration prior to start of shift.
Perform periodic system accuracy tests, SAT, for each furnace and report results to Quality Department.
Prepare furnaces for Temperature Uniformity Tests by retrieving the thermocouple wire, cutting and application of cold/hot junction on tip of each thermocouple and wire the furnace basket per TUS furnace.
Ability to identify parts from blueprints or Manufacturing Process Data.
Ability to keep the necessary records as required by Quality Control.
Perform rework, repair and other associated operations in accordance with work order instructions.
Follow all Senior Policies and Procedure.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 3months to 1 year of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
