Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Business Analyst in the public sector located in Burbank, California, United States. You will be tasked with processing, maintaining, and monitoring data related to customer applications, credit records, and inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed research and interpret data to forecast business trends and outcomes
• Perform statistical analysis, economic analysis, and modeling to support utility rate setting and resource planning
• Utilize programming tools to analyze large datasets and identify system load characteristics, economic and market trends, and climate patterns
• Assist in forecasting power requirements, develop, and document model assumptions, methods, and forecast scenarios
• Participate in cost-benefit analysis of resource portfolio options, support long-range integrated resource planning
• Collaborate with various departments to develop rate strategies that meet revenue requirements and policy objectives
• Utilize skills in Atlassian Jira, CRM, Gap Analysis, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, AB Testing, Business Process Functions, Business Requirement Document, Claim Administration, Microsoft SQL, Python, Applied Statistics, Forecasting, and Forecasting & Modeling
• Develop a yearly rate design model focusing on affordability, sustainability, and reliability of services for customers.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Business Analyst in the Government sector.
• Practical experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
• Demonstrated ability in performing Gap Analysis.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Experience in AB Testing to optimize business processes.
• Knowledge of Business Process Functions within the government sector.
• Proven ability to develop comprehensive Business Requirement Documents.
• Experience in Claim Administration.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft SQL for database management.
• Familiarity with Python or similar tool for data analysis and automation.
• Ability to apply statistical methods in decision making.
• Experience in Forecasting and Modeling for strategic planning.
• Proficiency in using Forecasting tools and techniques.
