Job Overview:

Supervise and oversee various aspects of the field erection of above‐ground storage tanks, including new construction and repairs for the petrochemical and refinery industry. The individual in this role will be responsible for job planning and execution and ensure customer satisfaction. The individual will assume responsibility for all safety on the jobsite by performing a daily job safety analysis and enforcing all company policies and procedures. Possess the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions and demonstrate characteristics of strong work ethics, competent and self‐motivated. Reports functionally to the Construction Manager.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee storage tank construction activities to ensure compliance with construction schedules, drawings, job specifications and procedures.

  • Monitor labor costs, supplies and materials are received, used and charged appropriately

  • Ability to read a properly interpret Engineering construction drawings

  • Must be able to complete quality control paper work accurately

  • Follow all safety rules, recognize and report safety hazards

  • Analyzes and resolves work related problems

  • Ensure that the National Content Plan is followed by all parties (McDermott and Subcontractors).

  • Managing the training and advancement of local employees and ensuring that knowledge of the company’s policies and procedures are included.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • High school graduate with minimum 5+ years’ experience in Storage Tank construction, preferably in an oil and gas related environment.

  • Major fabrication/construction site experience. Demonstrable similar scope experience if not energy industry related.

  • Familiar with construction standards and code of practices

  • Computer skills - MS Office Suite.
