OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all operations of the Warehouse & Shipping department. This person manages approximately 20 hourly personnel, within a non-union setting. This position has the responsibility of establishing and maintaining a safe, capable, continuously improving, high-quality warehouse with a focus on improving service reliability at the lowest sustainable cost. This leader is also responsible for overall site CI coordination. As the CI leader, this manager must drive both strategic and tactical activities that lead to tangible business benefits. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, tenacious, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as drive results the right way in a team environment.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall responsibility for product receiving storage and outbound shipping
Optimization of warehouse / facility layout
Create and drive processes that ensure Inventory Accuracy and overall inventory control
Warehouse performance management, monitoring and reporting – own warehouse metrics
Ensure compliance with safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices
Creating annual department budgets and budget compliance
Ensure Warehousing and Shipping areas are audit-ready at all times
Train, coach and engage employees; appraise performance; provide recognition and accountability; address complaints and resolve problems. Create development/training plans to continue to drive operator performance (KPIs)
Champions and coaches site team in Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies and tools
Delivers measurable business benefit through executing, tracking and reporting CI initiatives
Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out-of-specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials, to a designated manager to enable the resolution of issues requiring immediate action
WORK EXPERIENCES
Minimum 5 years of Warehouse experience in a high-volume operation, of which at least 2-3 years must be in a management role
Familiarity with identifying and driving Key Performance Indicators in Logistics / Distribution / Customer Service / Warehouse
Experience with creating & maintaining various management reports & budgets
Experience in Warehouse/Distribution Center layouts
Accomplished results in Warehouse/Distribution Center performance improvement
Consumer Product Goods/ Retail Distribution industry experience is a plus
Experience implementing Continuous Improvement tools to improve performance
Lean Six Simga or Lean Leader/Facilitator Certification preferred
Demonstrated Experience with SAP and Kronos preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related areas of study
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Manages staff comprised of 15+ hourly employees in roles such as Shipping/Receiving Clerks & Bulk Unloaders
Ensures Labor Contract is followed by all employees, and reports any potential violation
Reviews performance for hourly employees and identify training needs
Reviews and issues disciplinary measures according to the Company Policy

MS Office (Excel / Word / Email) proficiency required

SALARY PAY RANGE: $85,500 – 158,500 plus bonus
The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
