Catholic Charities is seeking a temporary per-diem Volunteer/Donation Coordinator for our Immigration & Refugee Assistance Program (IRAP). Monday through Thursday, 6 hours per day.

Catholic Charities of Buffalo, NY, is the most comprehensive human service provider serving the eight counties of Western New York with dozens of programs at 40+ professionally staffed locations. Our programs include comprehensive counseling services for all ages, basic emergency assistance including operating 8 food pantries, mental health services, chemical dependency treatment, educational and job readiness services, services to older adults, marriage counseling, immigration and refugee assistance and a variety of programs that address prevention and treatment of a number of family issues.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating volunteers and donations for the program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Solicits donations for program and client needs.
Purchases furniture and household goods
Tracks and records donated items.
Schedules deliveries of furniture
Provides letters to donors acknowledging donations.
Reports volunteer and donation information to funding sources.
Coordinates delivery of donated items with case managers.
Provides group presentations regarding program.
Maintains statistics in database(s) per contract requirements.
Collaborates with other community agencies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with the Agency's Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, laws, regulations, and ethical standards applicable to your job duties.
Adheres to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations including, but not limited to those governing confidentiality, privacy, program, billing and documentation standards. All duties must be performed in accordance with CCB's corporate compliance and ethics program.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: BA/BS or associate's degree with relevant experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Must be able to work in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural setting. Able to function as part of a team working with case managers, employment counselors, English as a Second Language (ESL) instructors and interpreters/translators. Must be reliable and flexible. Must possess a valid NYS Driver's License and vehicle. Evening and weekend availability required. WORD and EXCEL skills required.
