Description We are seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Buffalo, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also be responsible for monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage medical billing tasks efficiently

• Maintain accurate records of customer credit applications

• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Utilize various software tools for processing and record keeping

• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Demonstrate strong analytical skills in handling complex billing issues

• Ensure attention to detail in all tasks

• Participate in training programs as required

• Adhere to all company policies and regulations

This role requires the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and the ability to handle complex billing tasks. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are also necessary. Experience with QS1 software and other nursing home software is a plus, but not required. Requirements • Proven experience in medical billing is essential.

• Strong analytical skills to interpret and process billing information accurately.

• Must possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficient in using billing software and other related computer applications.

• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients.

• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding is highly desirable.

• Must adhere to all privacy and confidentiality regulations, including HIPAA.

• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills to resolve billing discrepancies and errors.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medical billing or a related field is a plus.
