Job Description
Summary:
Promotes patient flow in both the clinical and clerical areas to provide care appropriate to the patient's age. Perform tasks and responsibilities within the framework of medical information gathering, health teaching, health counseling and provision of supportive care under the direction of a registered professional nurse or licensed physician, dentist or other licensed health care provider legally authorized under this title and in accordance with NYS Department of Health regulations. Adheres to current Kaleida policies and standards of practice.
Education And Credentials
Responsibilities:
High School diploma or GED required. Applied associate degree in medical office Assisting preferred.
Experience
Other information:
One year experience in a medical environment preferred. Successful completion of the basic PC Skills assessment required. Basic Life Support (BLS) for all school-based clinics. Cost Centers 25036, 25061, 25029, 25053, 25006, 25031, and 25034 within 60 days of hire/transfer into the cost center. BLS must be maintained thereafter. 25062 - CHOB Women's Health Clinic Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred. Niagara Street location. Candidate must successfully complete a fluency assessment.
