Materion Corporatiom Manager, Environmental Health & Safety in Buffalo, New York
The Environmental, Health and Safety Manager will plan, administer, and supervise an ongoing environmental, safety, and health program in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act, EPA requirements and applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as Materion's EHS systems, processes and programs. You Will Have the Opportunity to:Partner with facility leadership in the execution of EHS performance improvement plans.Lead investigations of all serious incidents and injuries making recommendations for corrective action to management.Maintain an on-going incident prevention management system. Inspect and tour facility to detect existing or potential physical and health hazards and recommend corrective or preventative action. Conduct risk assessments of potentially hazardous tasks or conditions and design interventions before injuries occur.Conduct job safety assessments and observations to determine personal protective equipment requirements.Oversee and audit compliance with hazardous and universal waste requirements, air and water permit compliance, storm water contamination prevention and relevant Department of Homeland Security requirements. Overall environmental management responsibility for compliance with ISO 14001 requirementsEducation / Experience: Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or sciences, occupational health, biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering / physics or equivalent degree10+ years’ experience in the field of Environmental, Health & Safety management with a track record of consistent improvement in EHS objectives.10+ years’ experience in designing/managing programs aimed at ensuring compliance with federal and state regulatory EHSS agencies.CSP, CHMM and / or CIH designation preferredMaster’s Degree in EHS field preferred
Minimum Salary: 96,600 Maximum Salary: 125,400 Salary Unit: Yearly
