Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of facilities and ensuring a safe, functional, and efficient environment. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment and systems, coordinating with contractors, and reviewing work completed by contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems effectively.

  • Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks.

  • Review and ensure the quality of work completed by contractors.

  • Maintain the physical integrity of facilities to ensure safety and functionality.

Essential Skills

  • 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role, preferably in a facilities management setting.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs effectively.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment includes both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled areas within an industrial setting. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be required to work in various parts of the building, ensuring comfort and safety in all conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
