Overview

The Tech Engagement Specialist is responsible for helping to run key engagement activities, and operations initiatives for M&T Tech to keep a large-scale organization closely connected, engaged, and aligned across divisions and teams.

The scope includes helping to create and execute programs and events to elevate Tech’s strategy and work across teams, the Bank, and the community and managing the operations of space to drive outcomes related to organizational engagement, culture and collaboration, and organizational efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

• Help execute engagement programs and events that connect and activate key stakeholders, including technologists and ecosystem partners, in critical Tech organizational initiatives

• Help design and manage operational processes to optimize and activate our Tech Hubs for diverse stakeholders

• Using an engagement lens, identify, react, and respond to opportunities that drive sustained org-wide efficiency or in areas that require immediate, one-off attention

• Help support and maintain partnerships in our ecosystem to elevate community outcomes in Western New York, Wilmington, and across the M&T footprint

Scope

The position entails extensive contact with internal and external personnel.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 years’ work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 5 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 years’ work experience.

• Outstanding relationship management and ability to interact professionally with all levels of management

• Strong project and time management skills

• Experience managing multiple tasks and prioritizing among assignments

• Experience working independently and as an effective team player

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills

• Self-motivated

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $24.76 - $41.27 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
