ManpowerGroup CAD Designer in Buffalo, New York
Local Buffalo manufacturer supplying industrial piping products sold across the country and around the world is looking to fill a drafting position to support the Engineering Manager with drafting and drawings for production and manufacturing for standard and custom products, including our ASME projects.
Responsibilities and Duties
Create new drawings and modify existing assembly drawings for production (casting, forging, machining, sheet metal and weldment) using AutoCAD.
Creating and maintaining all required Engineering Department documentation.
Maintain AutoCAD templates and libraries
Finalize product detail drawings and bills of material
Design custom products using existing tools
Qualifications and Skills
Associates degree in a technical field required as a minimum.
2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with piping and vessels is desired.
ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 exposure.
Strong AutoCAD capabilities.
Strong mechanical skills.
Familiar with engineering drawings and industrial piping nomenclature
Well-rounded knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Applications
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task while working with people from diverse backgrounds and skill sets.? Must be able to adapt to changing priorities, perform job duties with minimal guidance and meet deadlines.
Resourceful, positive attitude and a “can do” demeanor.?
The ability to work independently and gather information for the development of projects.
Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions in a fast-paced dynamic environment
