Local Buffalo manufacturer supplying industrial piping products sold across the country and around the world is looking to fill a drafting position to support the Engineering Manager with drafting and drawings for production and manufacturing for standard and custom products, including our ASME projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Create new drawings and modify existing assembly drawings for production (casting, forging, machining, sheet metal and weldment) using AutoCAD.

• Creating and maintaining all required Engineering Department documentation.

• Maintain AutoCAD templates and libraries

• Finalize product detail drawings and bills of material

• Design custom products using existing tools

Qualifications and Skills

• Associates degree in a technical field required as a minimum.

• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with piping and vessels is desired.

• ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 exposure.

• Strong AutoCAD capabilities.

• Strong mechanical skills.

• Familiar with engineering drawings and industrial piping nomenclature

• Well-rounded knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Applications

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task while working with people from diverse backgrounds and skill sets.? Must be able to adapt to changing priorities, perform job duties with minimal guidance and meet deadlines.

• Resourceful, positive attitude and a “can do” demeanor.?

• The ability to work independently and gather information for the development of projects.

• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions in a fast-paced dynamic environment
