Title and Summary

Senior Accountant

Overview

• Responsible for a broad range of finance related responsibilities and acts as a finance generalist for Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay.

• Activities include local statutory management, Audit management and Account Receivables management.

Role

• Prepare accurate journal entries. Provide analytical review of the business unit financial statements. Have a strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP), SEC reporting and accounting systems

• Safeguard company assets with prudent balance sheet management

• Satisfy all local, legal, tax and corporate requirements. Establish a strong internal control environment;

• Ensure P&L understanding and implications for local business and key stakeholders and review financial performance to understand deviations against budgets, and forecasts at a detailed level

• Have a positive influence/ impact on finance staff and region personnel and is viewed as a leader within the group. Foster cooperation and teamwork among team members

• Partners with regions, business units and partners and/or corporate to assist in developing, analyzing and validating finance opportunities and concerns. Support regional level payments by working with GBSC to analyze the integrity of payments and resolve billing inquiries, as deemed necessary

• Assists with strategy and process improvements to ensure alignment with market goals; proactively identifies ways to improve processes and executes agreed upon improvements

• Ensures compliance with policies, perform control testing as needed and establish a strong internal control environment.

All About You

• University degree in a financial or related field. MBA desired.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance. Working knowledge of Controllership Strategy a plus

• Experienced with financial systems and applications; serves as a resource to those less experienced (e.g., Hyperion, Oracle)

• Experience leading the aspects of the financial aspects and reporting (e.g. monthly financial outcomes, quarterly and annual results for corporate and statutory level)

• Experience individual that could provide advice and feedback to region/corporate on risks and opportunities, using analytical techniques as well as outside trends and events

• Experience identifying and implementing process improvement activities; makes recommendations to further improve procedures

• Successfully resolves complex issues in a timely and efficient manner

• Successfully embodies change management; executes corporate cultural initiatives, enhancing the support of an ever-evolving environment to fulfill corporate goals and objectives

• English and Spanish required.
