Job Title: Ops Training Specialist I
Business Title: Knowledge Retention Specialist

As Knowledge Retention Specialist you will lead the execution of the knowledge retention strategy. The Knowledge Retention Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that organizational knowledge is effectively collected, maintained, and disseminated across the team. This role involves conducting comprehensive learning need analyses, ensuring that functional training programs are effectively developed and delivered, and that all team members have access to the information and resources they need to perform their roles effectively. The Knowledge Retention Specialist will also be responsible for running operational readiness measurement process, monitoring quality, and driving the process of continuous feedback to develop a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough learning need analyses to identify relevant training topics for each role within the workstream.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive trainer matrix, identifying primary and backup trainers for each topic.
Run the Certified Training Facilitator process for internal trainers/SMEs
Ensure individualized training plans are developed for team members based on their specific learning needs and role requirements
Implement and maintain a training tracker to monitor progress and ensure timely completion of training objectives.
Ensure that training records and related administration is accurate and ready to be audited
Work with the workstream to design, develop, implement and administer knowledge assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement.
Handle the feedback mechanism between trainers, trainees and affected people managers.
Ensure that team members’ operational readiness is assessed during the probation period Collaborate with the workstream to develop and implement operational readiness metrics and reporting.
Monitor the quality of training programs and materials to ensure they meet organizational standards and objectives.
Perform quality monitoring and assessments to measure the effectiveness of functional training programs and reveal training or process improvement opportunities.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge matrix that outlines the knowledge and skills of the team members in the workstream
Develop and deliver trainings
Skills:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex, and rapidly growing/changing work environment
Excellent communicator
Self-motivated with a bias for action and a keen sense of urgency
Must possess adequate computer skills in Microsoft 365 Office applications
Ability to work with and influence business leaders and SMEs to define and implement Knowledge Retention plans

Strong written, verbal communication skills and presentation skills
Focus on interpersonal relationships
Ability to handle multiple tasks and solve complex problems

Fluency in English
Experience:
Experience with planning, organizing and delivering functional training
Evidence of working within a matrix environment with ability to influence and lead change
Experience in an operational business environment; demonstrable customer-focused approach
Experience in implementing programs and processes that yield positive results
Exposure to process improvement efforts (e.g. Kaizen, PPI, six sigma, practical process improvement)
Project management
Experience with Promapp and Thermo Fisher GBS SSC workstreams is a plus
Education:
Bachelor’s degree is required
Knowledge of adult learning principles
Project Management Certification is a plus
