Main responsibilities:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning Professional to lead our Business Operations (HUB) Learning team. This is a key role for ensuring Sanofians have access to learning solutions that will build and strengthen the Business Operations (HUB) organization. This position requires the ability to connect across global time zones.

The role reports to the Chief Learning Officer (leadership team member of the Talent Management organization) and

  • Responsible for serving as a trusted business advisor to business leaders and stakeholders to enable the leader’s business goals and outcomes by accelerating the development of skills and knowledge needed to drive business success through a productive and engaged business operations workforce.

  • Directs a team of Learning Professionals to support the design and execution of Business Operations (HUB) organization learning strategy and annual plan.

  • Continuously maintains an understanding of key business operations’ priorities and processes, partners with key business operations stakeholders to identify performance needs and gaps, collaborates with Global Learning Services teams on desired performance outcomes.

  • Build and maintain strategic business relationships, build sponsorship, and provide expertise to an integrated learning network.

  • Success in this role depends on a candidate’s ability to provide strategic direction and guidance to Learning Professionals and ensure agreed upon Business Operations’ (HUB) learning solutions support and drive desired outcomes.

The key activities of the Head of Learning Business Operations HUB will include:

  • Manage a team of learning professionals and serve on the Global Learning Organization leadership team.

  • Collaborate with senior business operations leaders to identify and assess learning needs to feed into the Global Enterprise Capability Plan, in consistency with Portfolio Strategy Manager

  • Manage and develop the learning portfolio linked to Business Operations (HUB) strategy, onboarding, in line with Sanofi’s learning strategy and business priorities (and skill’s taxonomy)

  • Build the annual learning plan including existing learning programs and additional programs to be created

  • Oversee program development process and activities with the support of Learning Program Manager and Learning Design & Development Hub, ensuring quality & learner experience

  • Manage program budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful program delivery

  • Manage facilitator pool (identification, documentation, engagement) linked to the Business Operations (HUB) catalog of offerings

  • Evaluate the quality & impact of Learning Portfolio in line with global learning standards and lead continuous improvement

About you

Experience : Extensive experience in Learning & Development and Learning & Development Portfolio Management in the Life Sciences Industry or related.

Soft & Technical Skills :

  • Strong functional knowledge in Business Operations, HUB operating model and associated skills for this organization.

  • Oral and Written Communications: Advanced ability to express oneself to provide information to others effectively and in a succinct manner; outstanding verbal, written, and executive level presentation abilities and interpersonal skills; ability to ask thoughtful questions to gain insights, listen, and understand other perspectives

  • Coaching: Ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals and teams in learning and improving effectiveness

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Advanced ability to use a broad range of methods, assumptions, frameworks, and perspectives when solving problems and making decisions

  • Planning- Tactical, Strategic: Advanced project planning and management experience, including the ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1–2 years), and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the business plan

  • L&D Policies, Standards, and Procedures: Knowledge of and ability to use industry and organization standards, procedures, and policies relevant to staff learning and development

  • Adult Learning - Theory and Practice: Advanced experience in applying concepts and practices of adult learning to meet the dynamic needs of the business.

  • Learning Needs Analysis: Advanced experience in assessing competency gaps and identifying what people need to learn for successful individual and organizational performance

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business Administration

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful learning programs across multiple organizations and markets.

Languages : Given the global nature of this role, we require full business fluency in English.
