Due to our continued growth we are now hiring a

Data Analyst

for our global team in Budapest.

The role:

This role will be a fundamental part of Material Management transformation. This role will be develop analytical tools to decouple planning from Product Availability risk communication and critical reporting to support the business asks. Examples are;

  • Rough Cut Capacity Planning;

  • Automation of a 1020 report or similar (PO Management reporting) future and historical;

  • Quality rejects;

  • Service items;

  • Expiration reporting etc.

This role will work closely with the Supply Chain COE to develop analytical tools to mitigate any possible risk on Material availability and deliver insights across brands and regions with a combination of modelling/analytical skills, data management and business insight. This role will anticipate and tackle multimillion-dollar business problems and opportunities to transform the way ELC does business. Using data visualization, and analytic tools to create the business building insights in mountains of data.

This role needs to be an effective communicator, self-motivated, and able to convert insights into actions that improve the business results. Needs to mine terabytes of data, derive actionable insights, and translate complex outputs or algorithms into simple conclusions that will empower others to take action.

Responsibilities

  • Combine and apply functional knowledge, technical ability, and understanding of business requirements to create effective data visualization and dashboard outputs spanning the broad portfolio of Procurement and Source to Pay processes.

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all visualizations and reports through testing and validation.

  • Collaborate with IT to design and develop data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files) to automate the input data ingestion of data visualization reports.

  • Support the design, development, and enablement of automated reports and scorecard publication and distribution (e.g. NPrinting).

  • Cross-functional collaboration with data analysts, project manager, and business stakeholders to understand specific reporting and analytical view requirements.

  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.

  • Compose and maintain the documentation of the end-to-end process of data and reporting products for future reference.

  • Provide necessary training and support to the end-users of applicable data products.

  • Establish standard operating procedures and make recommendations to enhance the end-to-end data value chain.

  • Proactively identify areas of improvement on existing reporting and data assembly processes or establish and test new hypothesis.

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and business intelligence.

  • Ensure all SLAs/KPIs to our stakeholders are met.

  • Ensure that new/revised business needs are translated to daily operations and roles and responsibilities.

  • Provide backup support within the team. Be part of maintaining a motivating workplace and safe working environment for all team and department colleagues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or IT.

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as QlikView, Tableau, Power BI, or similar, and other data analytics tool (for example Python, Macros, R, SQL)

  • Analytics knowledge

  • Attention to design beauty and use convenience (UX). Applying design principles such as colors, typography, information hierarchy, and so on, a designer can build stunning and easy-to-understand visualizations

  • Abstract intelligence to be able to structure models, logic analysis and data management.

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English

  • Good analytical & problem-solving abilities, e.g. identifying patterns & variations, and the ability to communicate & explain said solution/s

  • Good time management skills, with the ability and willingness to work across, and manage multiple projects and deliver on deadlines

  • Good ability to foster a team relationship with co-workers and all agency disciplines

  • Strong interest in the beauty industry is a plus

  • Creates an accountability and own it culture
