**JOB SUMMARY:
**Provide in-home, community-based services to clients in their homes through the provision of household tasks, and/or related activities while facilitating a client's effort to maintain independence in their home. Traveling to and from client's homes in the Crawford County, Ohio area.
**REQUIREMENTS:
**
- Must be a high school graduate, or have completed a GED, or have a minimum of 1 years' experience in work related field.
- Ability to understand the written activity and care plans, execute instructions, and document services delivered.
- Ability to communicate with clients/families and emergency service systems personnel.
- Must be neat in appearance, in good health and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess good communications skills, both written and verbal, and good observation skills.
- Must have knowledge of general housekeeping procedures and possess good homemaking skills.
- Must be able to organize time and set priorities.
- Must be able to follow directions and work independently.
- Must be courteous, cooperative, and even tempered toward clients and coworkers.
- Must be free of any disqualifying criminal offenses as determined by fingerprint check through the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
- Must be able to enter client homes and other potentially handicap inaccessible buildings.
Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's license, automobile insurance, and have access to reliable transportation to travel throughout Crawford County.
DUTIES:
- Homemaking tasks including but not limited to, dusting furniture; sweeping; vacuuming, and washing floors; kitchen care, including dishes, appliances, and counters; bathroom care; changing bed linens; washing windows; removing trash; and laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting clothes away.
- Meal preparation, grocery purchase, and errands for the purpose of picking up
- Completing all required paperwork and documentation for each client.
- Apply principles of health and safety in relation to self and client.
- Observe changes in client status and report to supervisor.
- Other job-related duties as required.
