The Record to Report Tower Lead (SEC) s responsible for coordinating Record to Report operations in Global Business Services (GBS) Romania Center by leading a team of Operations Managers and Team Leaders.

The role is responsible for the alignment with Controllers Group priorities, country specific business objectives, audit requirements, alignment in Operating Rhythm between GBS Record to Report (RTR) and Business Units.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overall delivery, coordinate with Business Process Owners end to end process streamlining

  • Setting up the relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI) structure and performance reviews in place. Ensure all team members are aware of KPIs for agrees deliverables and of current & expected performance output.

  • Ensure that Record to Report Process Maps and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed, and process and quality controls are in place.

  • Build leaders and ensure succession management in designated team, design & implement people strategy

  • Develop action plans, coaching and mentoring team members, developing talent, organizing career path meetings with team members. Adhere to MCBC HR practices in terms of people retention, performance assessment, motivation and talent development

  • Own 100% accurate and timely inputs for the team they supervise for salary, leaves and incentives and other HR processes like employee health and safety regulations, etc.

  • Build strong and effective relationships with Business Process Owners, Finance Directors, Chief Financial Officers in Business Units and with Global Finance Controllers.

  • Oversee department budget creation and approval. Identify opportunities for cost reduction.

  • Drive productivity improvements within operations

  • Identify the proper technology solution to drive standardization and define the main requirements for the build out phase

  • Supervising system implementation as per the business requirement as per the baselining.

  • Validating Record to Report transition plan for the year including high-level processes and activities. Offer support for governance & escalations during the migration.

SKILLS & RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

  • (+7) year experience in leading large teams and in Shared Service Centers

  • Experience in finance & accounting

  • Sets or significantly influences the business strategy for own team and function

  • Requires comprehensive understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the function and contributes to achieving the goals of the business, requiring a basic understanding of the industry sector

  • Requires use of conceptual and innovative thinking (i.e. identifying solutions)

  • Business impact: through operational responsibility for end results planning, finances/budget & end results; sets policies and strategy

  • Area of impact: restricted to own department – interacts and impacts activities in Business Units in multiple locations for respective activities

  • Is a skilled communicator who influences and negotiates with great latitude on outcomes, usually internally and often at a high level.
