Citigroup Tax Specialist in Bucharest, Romania

Tax Specialist

What you will be doing?

  • Preapare the locat tax returns and closing VAT accounts;

  • Prepare the reporting data for SAF-T, BNR reporting,for which Tax Team is in charge;

  • Prepare information for monthly accounts reconciliation and for other tax reportings;

  • Calculate taxes for invoices received from non Romanian service providers;

  • Assist ESC/FRO in application of VAT and WHTrelated to cross- border services;

  • Collect info required for preparation of the transfer pricing documentation and supporting documentation forintra-company charges;

  • Prepare the supporting documentation forself-assessment testing, MCA, ECONTROL, ERECON, as well as any tax audits (internal, external or regulatory);

  • Compliant with the employees' conduct rules as described in the Employer's policies and procedures and applicable laws, regulations and guidance issued by the competent authorities;

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

What we are looking for?

  • 5 years of experience in tax, preferably in a financial institution;

  • Good understanding and knowledge of local & EU tax regulations and reporting requirements relevant for financial institutions;

  • Knowledge of tax accounting is required;

  • Good knowledge of banking products and businesses;

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance;

  • Good accounting, analytical thinking, excellent communication,

  • Proficiency in English;

  • Ability to pay attention to details, set clear priorities and work under pressure;

  • Goodteamwork and interpersonal skills;

  • Good technical skills in working with systems and databases;
