Oracle Software Developer 4 in BUCHAREST, Romania

Job Description

Your primary responsibilities will include developing backend services in Java and related frameworks to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient OCI Native services through Control and Data Plane design, Container Orchestration, and Monitoring. You will collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver robust, performant, and highly secure products.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and be able to handle the responsibilities of designing, writing, testing, and reviewing code. In addition, you will be expected to provide technical leadership to other engineers on the team through project work, knowledge sharing and mentoring.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • At least 5 years of software engineering work experience

  • Proficiency in major cloud platforms like Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

  • Experience with Java and other programming languages (C#, Python, or Node.js)

  • Understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) principles, policies, and workflows

  • In-depth knowledge of Windows, MacOS, Android and iOS management features, APIs, and restrictions

  • Familiarity with security features and mechanisms, including local firewall, encryption, and User Account Control (UAC)

  • Experience in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs

  • Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to multiple stakeholders and audience types.

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative and agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with popular MDM solutions like Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, or Jamf pro

  • Experience with microservices such as Helidon, Micronaut, and other frameworks

  • Application development for MacOS

  • Knowledge of TPM (Trusted Platform Module) functionalities and experience interacting with the TPM for secure boot, key management, and attestation.

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks

  • Experience with DevOps practice and CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience in managing containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes

  • Exposure to Grafana, Prometheus or other TSDB

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
