Oracle Cloud Architect – Cloud Native
The Mission…
You will work as part of Oracle's Cloud Engineering team to collaborate with our customers on migration plans and strategies to move workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You will work with internal Oracle Cloud offering teams, including cloud architects, implementation engineers, Product Management, Development, and sales to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient enterprise Cloud Native based solutions and plans that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of OCI services. In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue and consumption growth across a broad set of customers, help our customers accelerate adoption of OCI – e.g Kubernetes, Containers, Compute, Storage, Network, Analytics, Integration, Monitoring, Security – and successfully migrate customer applications from on premise or create new OCI deployments.
Responsibilities
· Ability to translate high-level requirements into actionable solution architecture.
· Ability to work with minimal or no supervision to be effective.
· Take an active hands-on approach to all aspects of the solution lifecycle including requirements specification, technical design, prototype development and testing.
· Communicate your progress, and shape how your solution can be implemented in production environments.
· Minimize accumulation of technical debt within any component designed, built; utilize emerging cloud standards when appropriate, and implement optimizations that can increase automation for future development.
Minimum Qualification:
· In depth knowledge of at least one Cloud Service Provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI)
· Strong Experience in design, develop, administer, test, present Highly Available Cloud Native solutions (Kubernetes, Serverless).
· Experience with containers, microservices, backing services and automation
· Experience with Scripting / Programming (Python, Bash)
· Experience with Infrastructure as a Code and Configuration management (Terraform / Ansible)
· Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
· Strong speaking and presentation skills - formal presentations, white boarding, large and small group presentations.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Familiar with Artificial Intelligence solutions
· Experience with GO programming language
· Knowledge of logging, events and queueing such as RabbitMQ, Kafka.
· A good understanding of monitoring solutions, Grafana, Prometheus
· Exposure to Test driven development, behavior driven development, test automation, secure by design approaches.
· Exposure to large scale, high volume, multi-threaded and highly distributed systems.
· Involvement in open-source development and may even contribute to one or more repos.
· Experience of working in a dynamic environment often with shifting priorities.
· Cloud Certifications: (Oracle, AWS, Azure, Google, etc.)
· Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, others)
