✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Special Education Teacher at The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas✨
AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area. Pay: Follows an approved Teacher Pay Scale, starting at $50,000 a year and increasing based on level of education and experience.
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus ($2500 at 3 Months, $2500 at 6 Months!)

What you will do: A Special Education Teacher will work primarily with students in an educational setting delivering a curriculum of Target Teaching methodologies. As a teacher, you will track student attendance, maintain student grades, prepare lesson plans, and assist as needed in the classroom setting. With proven and efficient school policies and procedures, the Special Education Teacher will respond to the needs of students who have a variety of ability levels.
To be considered you should: Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree Have an active teacher's certification in Special Education Be at least 21 years of age Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry Must meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver's License
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
