What you’ll do:

As the site Licensed Practice Nurse, you will be primarily responsible for the health care of the students. In this role, you will:

  • Order and administer medication per providers orders

  • Transcribe providers orders in the medical record to the medication administration records

  • Accurate and prompt documentation in the health record

  • Obtain vital signs and BMI, perform basic vision exam, administer IM injections

  • Collect specimens (i.e., blood, saliva) and prepare for lab courier

  • Assist chronic care clinic (i.e., diabetes, asthma, obesity)

  • Manage daily sick-call and adhere to the nursing protocols

  • Educate students about their health

  • Maintain clean and tidy workspace

  • Collaborate with peers to meet the needs of the department and campus

  • Monitor medical supply inventory and report when needs ordering

  • Assists with the correction of deficiencies and quality improvement efforts.

To be considered, you should:

  • Have a High School diploma or equivalent and possess a current Licensed Practical Nursing Credential from the state in which employed.

  • Have a minimum of two years of previous medical services administration, including demonstrated experience in operating and securing comprehensive health services programs.

  • Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect.

  • Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
