The Program Coordinator II for Texas A&M College of Nursing, Office of Nursing Compliance and Clinical Placement under general supervision, works collaboratively with the team to plan, develop, and manage compliance with regulatory standards, clinical affiliation agreements, and clinical facility regulations and requirements.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience

  • 4 years of experience in compliance coordination, management or related areas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in compliance coordination, management, or related areas

  • Experience with medical provider compliance

  • Excellent public relations skills in electronic and interpersonal communications

  • One year or more of experience with clinical compliance documentation and completion of agency requirements and reporting

  • High level of computer, word processing, and database management skills

  • Excellent organizational and accuracy skills (e.g., maintain accurate and detailed reports and records). Outstanding problem-solving skills

  • Strong skills in time-management

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal

  • Organizational and accuracy skills (e.g., maintain accurate and detailed reports and records)

    Responsibilities:

Clinical Compliance Tracking and Reporting Duties

  • Collaborates with the Associate and Assistant Director, Office of Nursing Compliance and Clinical Placement, and Office of Student Affairs on the setup, implementation, and maintenance of the compliance database platform.

  • Manages clinical compliance for faculty, staff and students using the tools available in the compliance database platform and completes reporting related to compliance.

  • Works with leadership to create new and expanded programs for Clinical Compliance.

  • Tracks, monitors, and reports compliance documentation to include immunizations, certifications, background checks, drug screens and other clinical compliance requirements in accordance with each clinical agreement.

  • Collaborates to develops timelines and action plans to assure student readiness for assigned clinical experiences.

  • Monitors the College’s adherence to all relevant clinical agreements and regulations.

  • Monitors student completion and maintenance health clearance and compliance requirements for students.

  • Coordinates a system of checks and balances to assess compliance consistency.

  • Identifies potential risks and contributes to mitigation of risks.

  • Assists in establishing short- and long-term goals and strategic planning.

  • Assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the College of Nursing, including, but not limited to background checks, and health clearances.

  • Assists in ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal standards for student clinical learning.

  • Measures and evaluates program effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvement.

  • Ensures necessary action is taken for managing noncompliance situations.

  • Develops and updates training materials and delivers training as needed.

Office Support and Other Duties

  • Collaborates with the team and others to expand capacity for clinical learning sites.

  • Participates in new student orientation and provides information on the clinical compliance throughout the program.

  • Disseminates expectations for each clinical site to students.

  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality on all sensitive information this position is privy to.

  • Notifies the team, faculty, staff or students of non-compliance.

  • Serves as a liaison with clinical agencies while developing and maintaining the relationships with these partners.

  • Conducts compliance awareness sessions for faculty, staff, and students.

  • Cross training to support other positions in the team.

  • Assist in preparation and monitoring of budgets for programs and events as needed.

  • May assist with supervision and guidance to student workers as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.
