We are looking for 2 Receptionists fulltime for a life science environment located at Brussels/ Diegem

Reports to:

The Facility Manager

Responsibility level:

Provides a courteous greeting service and assistance to visitors. Answers telephone queries in a courteous manner. Liaises with security department to maintain building security.

Principal duties:

  • Ensure visitors/calls are dealt with in a welcoming, courteous and professional manner, seeking to anticipate their needs where possible.

  • Administer car hire and travel document processes if needed.

  • Maintain security and safety standards as required, ensuring that visitors are escorted, and contractors do not have access to areas without the appropriate authorization or supervision maintained.

  • Administer the booking system for conference rooms and workrooms.

  • Individual contributor, no direct responsibility for leading others.

  • Meeting room preparation / maintenance / small relocations / event preparations

  • Assist departments on their request to clean up.

  • Back up mailroom / facility tasks

  • Safety and coffee tour

  • Deliver on local SLA / KPI requirements.

Skills/Qualifications / Attributes:

  • 40 h position (day hours)

  • Dutch is mother tongue, knowledge of English.

  • 2-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 Years suggested minimum experience.

  • 1 years’ experience within a Customer Service environment providing guest and reception services to the highest standard.

  • Excellent telephone manner

  • Computer literate, preferably some data entry experience

  • Explains facts, practices, policies, etc. to primarily others internally.

  • Evaluated in context of the standard size. Delivers own output according to specific operational targets.

  • Precise working and structured approach

  • Communicates well in a friendly and effective manner with customers and colleagues.

  • Well organized and able to set priorities.

  • Good safety awareness

  • Adaptability to changing priorities and time constraints.

  • Experience of working in a customer service orientated environment

  • Experience of working in a life science environment is a + Team player, flexible, takes initiative.
