Job overview and responsibilities

Syensqo is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cloud Security Architect/Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive cloud security strategies to protect our organization's network and data from sophisticated threats. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud security technologies, threat landscape, and best practices in endpoint protection and response.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cloud Security Strategy: Develop and maintain a robust cloud security strategy that aligns with organizational security policies and compliance requirements. This includes defining standards for protection, detection, and response.

  2. Solution Design and Implementation: Architect and deploy cloud security solutions across the organization

  3. Policy and Configuration Management: Create and manage security policies and configurations for cloud services.. Ensure policies are effectively applied to maintain security posture and compliance.

  4. Threat Detection and Response: Monitor endpoint security tools for signs of malicious activity. Lead incident response efforts for cloud security incidents, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.

  5. Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments of services in the cloud. Coordinate with IT teams to ensure timely actions and remediation of identified vulnerabilities.

  6. Security Awareness and Training: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on cloud security best practices and threat awareness. Promote a culture of security across the organization.

  7. Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with other cybersecurity and IT teams to ensure a cohesive security strategy. Prepare and present reports on cloud security posture, incidents, and improvement initiatives to senior management.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, etc) are highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on cloud security architecture and engineering.

  • In-depth knowledge of cloud security technologies

  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and vulnerability management tools.

  • Strong understanding of the cyber threat landscape and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by threat actors.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex security incidents.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across teams and explaining complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
