Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Insurance Specialist to join our team. The Insurance Specialist will be responsible for handling insurance claims, verifying coverage, and ensuring accurate billing and coding. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical coding, insurance verification, and medical office procedures.
Duties:
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
Maintain and update insurance information as needed
Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding insurance inquiries
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
Knowledge of insurance verification processes and managed care plans
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
